What is Long-Term Rugby Development? outlines the rationale behind the LTRD and gives a quick overview of the model.

Ten Key Factors Influencing LTRD give background in to the builing block of the model and addresses issues face by athletes, such as specialization, developmental age (early maturers and late maturers) and the 10 year/10,000 rule.

The Rugby Ontario Way is Rugby Ontario's answer to implimenting LTRD in to our structure. This section contains resources on the player, coach and the game for each of the stages of LTRD:

 Stage 1: Active Start - Introducing a love of being active in kids aged 0-6.

 Stage 2: FUNdamentals - Teaching FUNdamental movement skills to kids aged approximatelly 6-9.

 Stage 3: Learning to Train - Teaching FUNdamental sports skills to kids aged approximatelly 10-12.

 Stage 4: Training to Train - Teaching rugby specific skills to teens aged approximatelly 12-16.

 Stage 5: Training to Compete - Refining rugby specific skills and introducing tactics to young adults aged approximatelly 16-19.

 Stage 6: Training to Perform - Maximizing all player capacities for players aged 19+.

 Stage 7: Ultimate Performance - International, high-performance athletes.

 Stage 8: Active for Life - Continued involvement in rugby as a player, coach, referee administrator or supporter.
